FAQ

  • How does the investigation process work?

We can handle the entire investigation process over the phone/internet or we can meet in person. We prefer to meet in person to get to know our client better. We will ask you a series of questions about your case in order to create an investigative plan. You will tell us your goals. We agree on the plan and the cost of the plan. A contract is prepared defining all aspects of the process and a payment is made in advance. Once these steps have been completed, we will begin the investigation.

  • Will you give me reports and/or videos of your findings?

Yes, we will. We will provide you with a detailed written report and all relevant evidence collected such as photos or video.

  • What Should I do prior to hiring you?

Please gather all information about the subject of the investigation, including pictures and any other important information. If necessary, open a new email account you will use to communicate with us (to make sure that the subject will not have any access to it). Make sure you use a safe phone as well. After you’ve made your preparations, just act natural (especially if the subject of the investigation is your spouse). Don’t change any patterns of interaction and please remember to limit the number of people to whom you disclose you’ve hired a private investigator. It is best to keep this fact to yourself, at least until the investigation is completed.

  • How often will you update me during the surveillance?

We do our best to inform our clients as often as possible. We do our best to keep you informed every step of the way. Rest assured, we will keep you updated throughout the entire process.

  • Will I be charged mileage? How much will that cost?

Generally, mileage costs are built in to the cost of the investigation. If however, there will be a substantial amount of driving; there may be an additional mileage charge. The rate for mileage is the going rate used by the IRS for business mileage (currently 53.5 cents per mile for 2017). We cannot tell you what the total will be in advance, since we will not know where the subject will be going. We will keep you posted, but know, you may cancel the surveillance at any time. A very specific mileage report will be provided at the end of the investigation as well.

  • Can you use a GPS device on the subject's car?

We can only use a GPS device if the car the subject drives belongs to you.

  • Can you get me phone records or access to someone's email

No, both of those are considered private and it is illegal for anyone to get you that information.

  • What happens if I hire you for your minimum of four hours and the subject doesn't do anything? Do you provide a refund?

Investigative fees are based on the Investigator’s time properly expended. The subject’s behavior can be unforeseeable. Efforts are made in advance of the process to learn the subject’s activities prior to the surveillance to minimize time spent. We will provide refunds for our errors, not for issues that are out of our control.

  • How do I know who you are and what kind of reputation your agency has?

You are welcome to read the numerous testimonials across the web about our agency. You may also contact the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services and ask them about our disciplinary record. If you have any additional questions about our background, you are more than welcome to ask us.

  • Can I pay you after the investigation is done?

No, all fees are payable in advance.

  • Do you offer discounts?

We offer discounts for multiple days of surveillance, for active military personal and senior citizens.

  • Can you set someone up for me? Like, getting a girl to flirt with my husband?

No, we do not get involved in those types of investigations. Our job is to observe, not to interfere. We are your eyes and ears on the street. Anything more than that, we consider as intrusive and immoral.

  • Can you refuse service to me if I have a restraining order against the person who I want followed?

Yes we can, and we will refuse to provide the service. We check for restraining orders and previous Domestic Violence cases prior to agreeing to take your case.

  • Will you testify for me in court?

Yes we will. We are experts at giving testimony.
