American Investigative Agency is a full service private investigative agency licensed by the state of Florida. Although we are full service, we specialize in Criminal Defense, Civil Litigation, Background Investigations, Serving of Process and Protection Services.
My name is Gregory A. Griffis, before starting my own agency, I dedicated my life to service of our country and its people. I am a Vietnam Era Veteran. I originally served in the United States Army for nine years. I served with the U.S. Army Rangers, 101st Airborne Pathfinders, and the 1/502nd Infantry in the recon platoon as a military scout. I have graduated from ranger school, airborne school, air assault school, pathfinder school, jump master course, and rappel master course. I was also a graduate from the NCO Academy.
When I left the service, I joined the Levy County Sheriff’s office. I worked in that office for four years. I was involved in dispatch, jail, court bailiff, and patrol deputy. Afterwards, I worked for the Florida Department of Corrections as a correctional officer for two years. I worked at the Florida State Prison, Lake Butler Medical and Reception Station, and Lowell Correctional Institution. Later, I worked as a Federal Law Enforcement Officer for the Federal Government for four years.
I am a graduate of the University of Maryland Federal Law Enforcement Academy. I hold certifications in both law enforcement and corrections. I have a bachelor’s degree in Public-Safety Administration and a master’s degree in Criminal Justice. In addition, I hold a certification in scuba diving and have a student pilot license in a Cessna 150/152.
I have worked as a private investigator for the past six years for Intelli Investigations LLC. Now I have started my own agency, American Investigative Agency.
